Pakistan Hockey Federation Announces Team Lineup for the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced a 20-player team for the upcoming Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, with Muhammad Abdullah appointed as the team captain leading the squad. His deputy, Muhammad Murtaza Yaqub, will serve as the vice-captain. The team features a mix of seasoned players and promising newcomers including Abdullah Ishtiaq Khan, Saad Shafiq Ali Khan, Ehtesham Aslam, Umar Mustafa, Arbaaz Ayaz, and Samiullah.

The team will be coached by the renowned Olympian Shahnaz Sheikh, who heads the coaching panel. Assisting him are experienced coaches Ayaz Mehmood and Waseem Firoz, who together bring a considerable amount of knowledge and strategy to the team dynamics. This robust coaching team is set to prepare the players extensively for their competitive challenges.

The Pakistani squad is set to leave for Malaysia on May 2, and will engage in intensive training sessions before their first game against the Malaysian Mirban team on May 4. Armed with strategic insight and tactical skills, the team is poised to deliver a strong performance at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.
