Fawad Chaudhry Released from Adiala Jail in Land Dispute Case

Former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry was released from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Friday evening, ending his months-long incarceration. His release was warmly welcomed by his wife, Hiba Chaudhry, who shared a celebratory photo with him on X, expressing her joy with the caption, “Blessed to have you back my better half.”

This release followed the Islamabad High Court’s decision on April 1 to grant Chaudhry bail in a case related to a land dispute in his native Jhelum. Chaudhry’s legal representation was led by lawyer Qaiser Imam, who argued the case before the court.

Chaudhry’s arrest was part of a broader crackdown involving several of his former party colleagues, following the events of May 9, which led to multiple charges being filed against them by the anti-corruption watchdog.
