Xiaomi to Introduce Flip Phone Resembling Huawei’s, Featuring Dual Punch-Hole Cover Display

Xiaomi has produced three generations of its book-style foldable phones, competing with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series. However, there hasn’t been a flip foldable similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip from Xiaomi yet. Now, a Chinese tipster has provided insights into Xiaomi’s upcoming flip foldable smartphone, dubbed the Mix Flip.

As per the report, the Xiaomi Mix Flip will bear resemblance to Huawei’s folding phones and feature a dual punch-hole camera setup for the cover display. It will be equipped with the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, promising notable power efficiency.

In a previous disclosure by another notable tipster, ‘Digital Chat Station’, details about the phone’s display were revealed, boasting a “zero-perception crease” developed domestically. The smartphone is rumored to sport a straightforward dual-camera setup on the rear, comprising a 50MP primary camera and a 3x telephoto lens.

Xiaomi is also working on the Mix Fold 4, which is rumored to feature a quad-camera setup, including a flagship-grade 50MP periscope shooter. It will also be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and will offer satellite communication capabilities.

Similar to its predecessors, the Mix Fold 4 will prioritize a thin and lightweight design, rivaling the Honor Magic V2, currently the world’s thinnest foldable. It will also emphasize fast charging and a high-quality screen.

However, Xiaomi has yet to officially confirm the existence of its Mix Flip smartphone. Hence, it’s advisable to approach this information with caution. Nonetheless, if launched, it’s likely to coincide with the release of the next Mix Fold phone.
