Vivo Introduces V30 Pro: Thin Design, Quad 50MP Cameras
Vivo’s latest addition to the V series lineup arrives in the form of the V30 Pro, boasting not only four 50MP cameras but also claiming a spot among the thinnest phones of the year. However, details regarding pricing and availability are yet to be disclosed.
Design and Display
Featuring a tall 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with 1260p resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 2,800 nits, the V30 Pro promises high color accuracy thanks to its 10-bit panel. Its distinctive rectangular Aura Light on the back is designed to provide soft and uniform lighting for low-light portrait shots. While exact dimensions are not specified, the V30 Pro boasts a remarkably slim profile.
Internals and Software
Powered by a Dimensity 8200 chipset built on a 4nm architecture, the V30 Pro offers enhanced performance compared to its counterparts. Memory configurations come in two options: 8/256 GB or 12/512 GB, with no provision for storage expansion. It runs on the latest Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 layered on top.
Cameras
Equipped with three 50MP lenses on the back, the V30 Pro features a Sony IMX920 sensor for the main camera, a Samsung JN1 sensor for the ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a Sony INX816 sensor for the portrait telephoto camera. The main camera supports 4K videos at 30 FPS and 1080p videos at 30 FPS, while even the selfie camera boasts a high-resolution 50MP sensor.
