Virat Kohli, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, recently hosted a birthday dinner for Australian cricketers Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell. The two Australians are currently playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The dinner took place at Lupa, a well-known restaurant in Bengaluru, as reported by local media. Kohli shared his appreciation for Chef Manu Chandra on his Instagram story, describing the dining experience as one of the best they’ve had.
Faf du Plessis shared a photo on his Instagram stories, showing the group having a great time. The caption read, “Great night spent with good people.”
This event marked Anushka’s first public appearance since the birth of their son, Akaay. Earlier, Kohli had posted a heartfelt birthday message for Anushka on Instagram, which was well-received by fans worldwide.

Known for their achievements in their respective fields and their strong bond, the couple often expresses their affection and appreciation for each other.
Currently, Kohli is playing for RCB in the IPL 2024 season. Despite a challenging start, RCB has managed to secure two consecutive victories in their last two matches. However, their chances of making it to the playoffs are slim.
It is interesting to note that despite having star players like Chris Gayle, Maxwell, AB de Villiers, and Jacques Kallis, RCB has never won the IPL title, despite reaching the final three times in 2009, 2011, and 2016.
