The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) has released a heavy rainfall warning for Azad Kashmir spanning from April 18 to April 22.
During this time, the SDMA urges travelers to remain vigilant due to expected rain and snowfall across Muzaffarabad and its surrounding regions. The forecast for the next five days includes increased precipitation and higher wind velocities.
Both residents and visitors are encouraged to adopt safety measures when navigating these conditions.

Local authorities have recommended that the public refrain from traveling to regions susceptible to rain-induced hazards, including landslides and snowfall.
In addition, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has alerted the public to minimize travel as another wave of rain is anticipated.
“Anticipated precipitation this week could trigger sudden floods and landslides, particularly in valley and mountain areas,” stated the NDMA. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, expected rainfalls from April 16 to April 22 may affect various parts of the country.
