A high-level Saudi delegation led by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan is set to arrive in Pakistan today to advance agreements previously established between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
This delegation will engage in critical discussions with Pakistani leaders concerning investments in sectors such as mining and tourism, focusing on projects like Reko Diq and Diamer Basha Dam, and the expansion of small oil refineries to enhance oil purification capabilities.

The delegation will also include Minister of Water and Agriculture Abdul Rahman Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadley, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Ibrahim AlKhorayef, Deputy Minister of Investment Badr AlBadr, Head of Saudi Special Committee Mohammad Mazyed Al Towaijri, as well as senior officials from the energy ministry and the Saudi Fund for General Investments.
This visit follows the Pakistani premier’s trip to the Kingdom where he and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman agreed to expedite the preliminary phase of a planned $5 billion Saudi investment in Pakistan. This move came after the Crown Prince directed the Saudi Development Fund to consider boosting its deposit in the State Bank of Pakistan to $5 billion last year.

The Saudi delegation’s itinerary includes meetings with the President, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Chief of Army Staff, and the apex committee of the Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council (SPSCC), as confirmed by Pakistan’s Foreign Office.
The visit aims to significantly strengthen bilateral cooperation and cultivate a mutually advantageous economic relationship between the two nations.
