Quetta Gladiators Clinch Victory over Lahore Qalandars by 6 Wickets in PSL 9 Match 28

Sahibzada Farhan and Tahir Baig opened the innings against Mohammad Amir’s bowling. Farhan’s aggression yielded two boundaries in the third over.
In the 6th over, Abrar Ahmed’s spin claimed the first two wickets as Farhan and Tahir fell. The powerplay ended with Lahore Qalandars at 39-2.
Abdullah Shafique attempted to counter-attack, losing partner Shai Hope in the 10th over to a brilliant catch by makeshift wicket-keeper Laurie Evans. At mid-innings, Qalandars were 70-3.
Shaheen Afridi’s aggressive innings, supported by Abdullah, saw Lahore standing at 122-3 after 15 overs, with Akeal Husein conceding three sixes in the 15th over. Shaheen completed his half-century in the 17th over, while Abdullah reached his fifty in the 18th over.
Shaheen lost his wicket in the last over, caught by Sohail Khan. Qalandars ended at 166-4.

Abrar Ahmed was the standout bowler with figures of 4-0-31-2, while Mohammad Wasim and Mohammad Amir were impressive as well. Sohail Khan bowled economically.
Jason Roy’s quickfire start in Quetta’s innings was halted by Jahandad Khan in the 6th over. Quetta reached 43-1 in the powerplay.
Jahandad struck again in the 9th over, dismissing Rilee Rossouw. Quetta stood at 72-2 after 10 overs.
Saud Shakeel and Khawaja Nafay stabilized the chase, with Shakeel reaching his fifty in the 13th over. Quetta reached 113-2 after 15 overs.
Shaheen got the breakthrough by dismissing Nafay in the 18th over. In the final over, Lahore’s captain dismissed Laurie Evans on the first ball. Needing four off the last ball, newcomer Mohammad Wasim sealed victory with a six.
Saud Shakeel’s unbeaten 88 made him the hero of the innings.
