Steam continues to surge forward with no signs of slowing down. The PC gaming platform recently reached a milestone with 33.6 million concurrent users just a few months ago, and now, Valve’s digital storefront has surpassed 34 million users, as reported on Saturday.
According to data from SteamDB, the platform recorded a record-breaking 34.298 million users online simultaneously on Saturday at 7 PM PKT. While traditional favourites like Counter-Strike remain popular, some newcomers also make waves, including HELLDIVERS 2, Last Epoch, Palworld, and more.

While Counter-Strike, Dota 2, and PUBG have long been top performers, new entries like HELLDIVERS 2 and Last Epoch are gaining traction. HELLDIVERS 2, developed by Arrowhead Game Studios, offers third-person intergalactic action against alien creatures and is available on Steam for $39.99.

Last Epoch, a hack-and-slash action RPG by Eleventh Hour Games, saw a full release in February 2024 after being playable as a demo in 2018. It is priced at $18 on the platform.
Palworld often likened to “Pokemon with guns,” is an action-adventure survival and monster-taming game developed by Japanese studio Pocket Pair. However, it has faced legal issues from Nintendo due to similarities with Pokemon. Palworld is available on Steam for $10.45.
