Pakistanis continue to face relentless inflation pressures as Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) pursues a significant increase in gas prices.
According to reports in local media, SNGPL has requested its third gas price hike of 2024. Sources familiar with the matter revealed that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is scheduled to conduct a hearing on gas prices on March 25, 2024. In the recent proposal, Sui Northern has suggested a price of Rs 4,489 per MMBtu.
