Qiddiya Investment Co., the real estate firm leading the project with support from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, recently unveiled captivating 3D visuals of the theme park, sparking enthusiasm across social media platforms.
With 30 thrilling rides inspired by the legendary world of Goku and his companions, the Dragon Ball theme park promises to be a paradise for fans of the beloved manga and anime series. This groundbreaking announcement comes shortly after the passing of Akira Toriyama, the visionary creator behind the captivating Dragon Ball universe.
Amidst the global mourning following Toriyama’s death on March 1 at the age of 68, the Dragon Ball theme park unveiling is a poignant tribute to his enduring legacy. The park, located in Qiddiya on the outskirts of Riyadh, represents a monumental effort to bring Son Goku’s fantastical world to life in an immersive setting.
Manga and anime have surged in popularity in Saudi Arabia, with an estimated 13 million enthusiasts of the Japanese genre in the kingdom alone and around 85 million across the broader Arab world, according to Saudi anime production and distribution company Manga Productions.

Spanning over 500,000 square meters, the expansive Dragon Ball theme park will include seven distinct areas meticulously designed to recreate iconic locales from the original series, such as Kame House, Capsule Corporation, and Beerus’s Planet. This ambitious project is set to rival renowned entertainment destinations like Disney World, occupying a site more than double the size of the iconic Florida-based theme park.
Among the park’s highlights will be five state-of-the-art rides, part of a diverse lineup of over 30 attractions intended to captivate visitors of all ages. Dragon Ball enthusiasts can also anticipate themed hotels and restaurants, providing an immersive experience that transcends traditional theme park entertainment.
