Samsung introduces the highly anticipated Galaxy A35 and A55, succeeding last year’s Galaxy A34 and A54, as part of its updated Galaxy A series lineup.
Design and Display:
The Galaxy A55 and A35 feature a shared 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2340px resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, showcasing Samsung’s “Key Island” design language. While their designs remain largely unchanged from previous models, the Galaxy A55 boasts a metal frame, whereas the Galaxy A35 opts for a plastic frame.
Internals and Software:
The Galaxy A55 5G is powered by the Exynos 1480 SoC, featuring an AMD RDNA2-based Xclipse 530 GPU. It offers configurations with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB storage options. On the other hand, the Galaxy A35 utilizes the Exynos 1380 chipset with configurations including 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB. Both devices run on Android 14 with One UI 6.1, promising 4 years of OS upgrades and 5 years of security patches. The Galaxy A55 and A35 also introduce Samsung Knox Vault for enhanced security.

The Galaxy A55 features a 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera and a rear camera setup comprising a 50MP f/1.8 main shooter with OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro camera. In contrast, the Galaxy A35 5G includes a 13MP f/2.2 front-facing camera and a rear camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 main camera, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide shooter, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro unit.
Battery and Pricing:
Both phones feature a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. The Galaxy A55 is priced at €480 for the base 8/128 GB configuration, with options for higher storage variants. The Galaxy A35 starts at €380 for the 6/128 GB version and goes up to €450 for the 8/256 GB variant.
