Big Rain in Islamabad and Rawalpindi – Emergency Steps Taken
Lots of rain in Islamabad and Rawalpindi made WASA Rawalpindi take quick action. The head of WASA, Muhammad Saleem Ashraf, declared a rain emergency because the city is getting a lot of rain.
Ashraf said that officials can’t take time off, and big machines are sent to places that need help. People from WASA are working outside to fix drainage issues.

Heavy rain is making Rawalpindi even colder. Places like Saidpur, Golra, Shamsabad, and Chaklala got 16 to 22 millimeters of rain.
Workers are keeping an eye on drainage systems and low areas. The boss of WASA is personally making sure everything is going well.
