Pakistani television actress and social media influencer Rabya Kulsoom emphasizes that the Aurat March is about advocating for women’s rights, not about antagonizing men.
In a recent podcast interview, Kulsoom openly voiced her disagreement with the version of the Aurat March being promoted in Pakistan. Sharing her perspective on feminism, she expressed concern that the core message of feminism wasn’t reaching its intended audience.

She questioned the effectiveness of slogans like “find your socks yourself” displayed on placards at the Aurat March, particularly in rural areas where they might be misinterpreted. Kulsoom argued that such slogans could potentially exacerbate domestic abuse rather than address it.
According to Kulsoom, the Aurat March should move beyond trivial matters like household chores and focus on broader feminist goals such as advocating for women’s education and career opportunities. She stressed that the movement aims to empower women, not to create divisions between genders.
