On Tuesday, a powerful earthquake struck parts of Balochistan, including the provincial capital, Quetta. Authorities confirmed the seismic event, reporting a magnitude of 5.4 with its epicentre near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The quake’s depth was approximately 34 kilometres underground, with the epicentre located 150 kilometres southwest of the provincial capital in a sparsely populated area. Tremors were felt in various regions including Chaman, Qila Abdullah, Nushki, Chagai, Pishin, Mastung, Dalbadin, and others.
