Petrol and Diesel Supply Ceased in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Other Regions by Oil Tankers Owners Association
The Oil Tankers Owners Association has ceased the supply of petrol and diesel to Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir. This action follows instances of intimidation linked to disputes over fuel measurement practices by the current authorities.

The association had previously issued a warning that it would halt fuel distribution starting Tuesday unless their demands for a metered filling system were met. They have vowed to continue this suspension until their demands are acknowledged and addressed.
According to the association, both the Islamabad administration and officials from Pakistan State Oil (PSO) have failed to honor the agreement made on February 20th and have disregarded subsequent notices.

Petrol and Diesel Prices in Pakistan The government announced a significant price hike in fuel late Monday night. The price of petrol was raised by Rs4.53, setting the new price at Rs293.94 per litre. Diesel prices saw an increase of Rs8.14 per litre, bringing it to a new rate of Rs290.38. These updated prices were implemented starting from April 16, 2024.
