Naila Kiani, Pakistan’s accomplished mountaineer, made history once again by successfully summiting the fifth-highest mountain, Makalu.
This achievement marks Naila Kiani as the first woman from Pakistan to conquer the summit of Mount Makalu, adding to her impressive record of climbing 11 peaks over 8,000 meters.

The Alpine Club of Pakistan confirmed her successful summit on Sunday morning, highlighting her remarkable feat and the challenging climb she undertook.
Karrar Haidri, the ACP secretary, requested prayers for Naila’s safe descent from the summit back to base camp, emphasizing the risks involved in such expeditions.
Naila expressed her gratitude for the support and prayers she received, recognizing the crucial role played by Sherpa Gelgen Dai in her success. Her accomplishment of 11 summits of peaks over 8,000 meters in less than three years reflects her exceptional endurance and determination.

In addition to Mount Makalu, Naila was the second Pakistani woman to summit Mount Everest last year, following in the footsteps of Samina Baig, who achieved this milestone in 2013. Naila and Samina also climbed Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest peak in the world, in July of the same year.
