Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has sanctioned a four-day public holiday for Eidul Fitr 2024 in Pakistan.
The holidays for Eid ul Fitr in 2024 will span from April 10 to April 13, with educational institutions and offices reopening on April 15, considering April 14 falls on a Sunday.
This announcement follows the release of the moon calendar for 1445-1446 AH earlier in the week by the Pakistan Meteorological Department, as the nation, along with several others, looks forward to celebrating Eidul Fitr 2024.

The Met Office has forecasted that Eidul-Fitr will likely be celebrated on April 10, based on the expectation that the Shawwal moon will be visible on the evening of April 9, 2024 (Tuesday).
According to the Met Office’s prediction, the crescent will be visible for approximately 50 minutes on April 9. Clear skies are anticipated across most of Pakistan for this sighting, although the northern regions may see some cloud cover.
