Pakistan Army Chief Celebrates Eid with Soldiers in North Waziristan

Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir embarked on a tour of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, visiting North Waziristan, Miranshah, and Spinwam, where he spent Eid with the troops.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Munir’s visit aimed to celebrate Eid alongside the soldiers stationed there. The celebration began with Eid prayers, during which General Munir prayed for Pakistan’s enduring stability and prosperity. He commended the soldiers for their steadfast commitment and sacrifices for the nation and extended heartfelt Eid greetings.

During his visit, General Munir received briefings on operational readiness and the prevailing security scenario, focusing particularly on the measures in place along the Pak-Afghan border.

General Munir expressed his aspirations for continued peace and stability, which he noted were the results of the sacrifices made by the country’s martyrs. These efforts, he remarked, have facilitated a conducive environment for societal and economic progress.

Highlighting the detrimental effects of terrorism on development, the Army Chief emphasized the importance of protecting the hard-won peace. He called on all stakeholders, including the local communities, to remain vigilant against forces aiming to destabilize the area.

General Munir concluded his address by urging the troops to maintain an unwavering focus on their professional responsibilities to further national interests. He was warmly received by the Corps Commander of Peshawar upon arrival.
