According to a Pakistani news channel report citing Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Khabir Azad, Eid ul Fitr 2024 is likely to fall on April 10, 2024, which is a Wednesday.

The Ruet committee chairman stated that scientific observations suggest the sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon on the 29th of Ramadan this year. He proposed using scientific observations and forecasts to assist in sighting the Eid ul Fitr moon.
Azad emphasized that the final decision regarding the Eid ul Fitr moon sighting would be made based on Islamic principles and testimonies, and it would be announced in the same manner as in previous years.
This year, it is anticipated that people in the South Asian nation will observe a 29-day Ramadan, as there are chances of sighting the crescent moon on April 9.
Ramadan commenced on March 12 after the sighting of the Ramadan crescent. The announcement followed a meeting of the central and zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees for moon sighting in Peshawar.
