The coin toss occurred at 7:00 PM (PST) with team captains Babar Azam and Michael Bracewell present. Bracewell decided to field first, announcing, “Today marks the debut for two of our players, Zak Foulkes and William O’Rourke.”
Babar Azam responded, “The pitch is looking much improved compared to yesterday, a typical Pindi track. Had we won the toss, we would have chosen to bat first. Deciding on which bowler to use at times can be puzzling, but thankfully, we have plenty of bowling options ready to go. Amir will sit out this match, with Abbas Afridi filling in.”
