Nine Punjabi Laborers Killed in Shooting Incident in Balochistan’s Noshki

At least nine laborers were fatally shot in the southwestern city of Noshki, Balochistan on Saturday.

This incident is the most recent in a series of attacks targeting workers in this tumultuous region, which borders Afghanistan. Initially focusing on foreign nationals, militants have increasingly targeted local civilians.

The laborers, who were en route from Quetta, the provincial capital, were forcibly removed from their bus by unidentified assailants, taken to the mountains, and subsequently killed.

Such ruthless acts recall similar past atrocities in Balochistan, where outsiders have often been executed.

Balochistan Police discovered the bodies beneath a bridge in the rocky terrain of Noshki, noting that the victims had sustained gunshot wounds to various parts of their bodies.

The victims were identified as hailing from Gujranwala and Mandi Bahauddin.

Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Sarfraz Bugti, extended his condolences and vehemently condemned the murders, expressing his sympathy to the families of the deceased.

Bugti vowed to show no mercy to the perpetrators, denouncing the killings as heinous and inexcusable offenses.
