Newly Elected Chief Minister of Punjab Announces Ramadan Relief Package

Maryam Nawaz, daughter and political successor of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, made history on Monday by becoming the first woman Chief Minister of Punjab.

Following her election, Maryam Nawaz delivered a speech where she made several significant announcements. Among these, the newly appointed CM Punjab unveiled a Ramadan relief package called Nigheban for the province.

According to Maryam Nawaz, the relief package includes essential items worth Rs. 6.5 to Rs. 7 million, which will be distributed directly to the doorsteps of the public during Ramadan.

She also revealed plans to establish marketplaces offering essential items at subsidized rates. Additionally, the CM Punjab announced the provision of free medicines at every government hospital across the province, effective immediately.

In another significant move, Maryam Nawaz declared that Punjab’s first air ambulance would be launched within the next three months to improve healthcare services for residents in mountainous and hilly regions.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of a dedicated helpline for women, emphasizing that ensuring the safety of women in the province was her top priority.
