Multan Sultans Maintain Top Position as Quetta Stumble in PSL Match 11

Multan Sultans secured a 13-run victory over Quetta Gladiators at the Multan Cricket Stadium, extending their winning streak at home.

Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to field first. Multan Sultans posted a total of 180-4 in 20 overs, led by Reeza Hendricks’ explosive 72 and skipper Mohammad Rizwan’s half-century.

Tayyab Tahir’s cameo of 35 runs boosted the innings during the middle overs. Akeal Hossain and PSL debutant Usman Tariq were economical bowlers for Quetta.

In response, Quetta Gladiators could only manage 167-9, with Khawaja Nafay being their top scorer. Despite a quickfire 30 from captain Rilee Rossouw, Quetta fell short.

Mohammad Ali and David Willey shone for Multan Sultans, taking three wickets each. Multan Sultans secured their fourth win of the season.

The team will face tougher challenges as they move away from their home ground in the second leg of PSL 9.

Reeza Hendricks was named Player of the Match for his superb knock of 72 runs.
