The Punjab government has declared a holiday for the Christian community on Monday, April 1, 2024, the day after Easter. This holiday announcement aims to allow Christian community members to celebrate Easter with enthusiasm and joy.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has also approved a grant of Rs5,000 for each Christian family. She has directed district administrations to ensure the transparent distribution of these funds.

The Sindh government has also announced two public holidays for the first week of April. April 1st has been declared a public holiday for the Christian community, while the second holiday is observed on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
