The iPhone 16 series from Apple is anticipated to undergo several design modifications this year. A comprehensive overview of these updates has been leaked, consolidating all expected design alterations into a single visual representation.
Leak specialist Sonny Dickson has disclosed the metal dummy units for the iPhone 16 series on X. These mockups guide accessory manufacturers to tailor their products accordingly.

The dummy units reveal the size specifications of the iPhone 16 lineup, showcasing the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro as nearly identical in dimensions. The iPhone 16 Plus is a mid-sized option, whereas the iPhone 16 Pro Max is the largest model.
Supporting previous speculations, the leaks suggest the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models will expand their screen sizes to 6.27 inches and 6.85 inches, respectively, from the former sizes of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. This increase is expected to be offset by slimmer bezels, mitigating the impact on the phone’s overall footprint.

The standard iPhone 16 and the 16 Plus are predicted to retain their current screen sizes of 6.1 and 6.7 inches. This positioning hints at a slightly larger iPhone 16 Pro than its standard counterpart due to these modifications.
The newly introduced action button will be across the entire iPhone series, placed on the left, and a novel capture button for the camera will be situated on the right. Designed to be mechanical with a capacitive touch surface, the Capture Button allows swiping gestures to adjust zoom levels. Notably, this button replaces the location of the current mmWave antenna in US models.
Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are rumored to adopt a Rose color variant, utilizing the same coloration technology applied to the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, enriching the series with vibrant hues.
