The Sindh government has announced the removal of the hiring freeze across all public sectors, as confirmed by a spokesperson following a cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

In this meeting, the Chief Minister instructed the law minister and the advocate general to approach the courts should any legal hurdles to recruitment arise.
Additionally, the province has launched water and sewerage projects in Karachi, valued at $100 million, with the support of international donor agencies. These initiatives are focused on providing clean water and enhancing the infrastructure of the water board.

Funding for these projects will be shared, with the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) each contributing 40% of the total cost, and the Sindh government covering the remaining 20%.
In the education sector, Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah announced the lifting of the hiring ban for primary and junior elementary school teachers. He stated that the recruitment process would begin after Eidul Fitr 2024, advising prospective applicants to prepare their documentation for job applications.
