Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Initiates Billion Tree Plus Project

Following the success of the Billion Tree Tsunami project, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced the launch of the Billion Tree Plus project.

CM KP Ali Amin Gandapur chaired a meeting in Peshawar on Friday to discuss the project, directing officials to finalize preparations.

The meeting, attended by top government officials including Provincial Minister for Forests Fazal Hakim, involved briefings on administrative affairs, performance, targets, and other matters.

Officials were instructed to develop strategies to prevent tree-cutting and increase departmental revenue. Gandapur emphasized raising fines above the value of cut wood and installing CCTV cameras at checkposts to curb timber smuggling.
