The Punjab government has officially initiated the registration process for distributing 20,000 motorcycles under the Chief Minister Youth Initiative to students throughout the province.
The scheme will allocate 19,000 petrol motorcycles and 1,000 electric bikes via the Bank of Punjab under an interest-free instalment plan, supported by an Rs1 billion subsidy from the provincial government for these interest-free vehicles.

Eligibility for the interest-free motorcycle scheme is limited to students attending degree colleges and universities. Interested students can apply at bikes.punjab.gov.pk until April 29.
To qualify, applicants must be enrolled as ‘regular’ students in degree programs at any university or graduate college in Punjab, whether public or private, that is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The educational institutions will verify the bona fide status of the applicants.

In the first phase of the scheme, regular students from the following five cities are invited to apply for the motorcycles:
- Faisalabad
- Multan
- Bahawalpur
- Rawalpindi
- Lahore
