Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has refuted rumours of a strained relationship with captain Babar Azam, affirming the team’s united focus on winning the T20 World Cup 2024 under Azam’s leadership.
Imad expressed full support for Azam, suggesting that his reinstatement as captain was based on his potential to lead the team to victory in the upcoming tournament.

Furthermore, Imad shared his commitment to perform well on the field and fulfil his role within the team during the T20 World Cup.
The Pakistan squad is currently preparing for their tour of Ireland at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. While some players have begun training, others like Shaheen Afridi and Azam Khan are expected to join the camp soon.
However, Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan will miss the ongoing training sessions due to prior commitments but will rejoin the squad in Ireland.

Pakistan’s schedule includes three T20Is in Ireland, followed by four in England, before heading to the United States for the T20 World Cup. The final squad for the World Cup, initially comprising 18 players, will be reduced to 15 after the first T20I against England on May 22.
