The federal government is expected to maintain current petroleum prices throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
Despite challenging business conditions, the exchange rate has gradually improved, and international oil prices have remained relatively stable within a narrow range. As a result, there is a high likelihood that fuel prices will remain unchanged.
Brent crude, a key oil benchmark, has stayed steady at approximately $81 per barrel this month, while weekly inflation has approached 34 per cent.
While the possibility of no change exists, a slight increase cannot be completely ruled out. Motor Spirit (MS) petrol might rise up to Rs. 1.07 per liter, reaching Rs. 280.8 due to a higher premium of $12.1 per barrel than the previous fortnight.

On the other hand, High-Speed Diesel (HSD) could decrease to Rs. 286.5 per liter, representing a minor reduction from the previous fortnight. The premium on HSD remains unchanged compared to February 29.
Kerosene oil may decrease to Rs. 189.07 per liter, and Light Diesel oil to Rs. 168.71 per liter.
It’s worth noting that in the last fortnightly review of petroleum prices on February 29, the price of petrol was increased by Rs. 4.13 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel remained unchanged at Rs. 287.3.
