This year, the Sharia Board Pakistan has determined that the minimum Sadqa-e-Fitr, also known as Fitrana, will be Rs300 per individual. The Fitrana rate for 2024 is established based on the cost of essential foods including wheat flour, dates, raisins, and barley, in alignment with Islamic Shariah principles.
Sadqa-e-Fitr is a significant charitable contribution aimed at supporting the less fortunate members of society during the joyous celebration of Eidul Fitr. It enables those in need to partake in the festivities, while Muslims gain blessings from Allah Almighty.

The calculation of the minimum Fitrana amount at Rs320 per person is based on the market price of 2.25 kilograms of flour. However, for those who wish to base their Fitrana on the cost of barley or dates, the minimum contributions are set at Rs600 and Rs2,400 per person, respectively. For Fitrana determined by the price of raisins, the amount is Rs4,400 per individual.
For 2024, the base amount of Fitrana per person in Pakistan is set at Rs300.
Fitrana should be paid by any Muslim who has food exceeding their immediate needs, and it must be given before the Eidul Fitr prayers.
