Fashion Designer Khadijah Shah Revives with Renewed Zeal and Creativity

Renowned fashion designer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporter Khadija Shah has resumed her professional duties following months of detainment. She was granted bail by an anti-terrorism court in Quetta last month in connection with the May 9 riots. Shah surrendered to Punjab police in Lahore on May 23 last year, remaining incarcerated for months amid allegations of her involvement in fueling the violent protests triggered by PTI founder Imran Khan’s arrest in a corruption case.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Shah announced her return to work with a post bearing the caption: “Our creative Director Khadijah Shah is back: Elan Reignites.” Expressing gratitude to her Pakistani supporters for their unwavering backing, she attributed her release to their collective prayers.

In her heartfelt message, Shah expressed her excitement to resume her role at the forefront of Elan and Zaha. She pledged to embark on a journey marked by rejuvenation, creativity, and pioneering design. Affirming her deep-rooted love for Pakistan, she reiterated her commitment to serving the nation and its people. Shah, daughter of former federal and Punjab cabinet member Salman Shah, emphasized her dedication to upholding Pakistan’s pride through her endeavors.

The May 9 protests resulted in the widespread arrests of numerous PTI activists and supporters nationwide. Additionally, several leaders distanced themselves from the party in light of the events surrounding May 9.
