The International Cricket Council has unveiled the teaser for the 2024 T20 World Cup, set to be hosted in the West Indies and the United States of America.
This ninth edition of the T20 tournament will kick off on June 1 and culminate on June 29.
A total of 20 cricket teams will participate for the first time in this event. Apart from the host nations, teams have been chosen based on their performance in the previous T20 World Cup, T20I Team Rankings, and Continental Qualifiers.
The teams will be grouped into four groups of five each, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super 8 round.

During the Super 8 stage, the qualifying teams will be divided into two groups of four each, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the knockout stage, comprising two semi-finals and a final.
The tournament will be spread across nine venues, with six located in the West Indies and three in the USA.
Cricket grounds in Barbados, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Antigua & Barbuda, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, New York, Florida, and Texas will be utilized for the matches.
The sport of cricket is gaining momentum in the United States, with support from the West Indies aiding in its growth.
