The Pakistan Super League (PSL) announced KFC as its snack partner on Friday, sparking the #BoycottPSL trend on social media as Pakistani fans voiced their disapproval amidst ongoing Israeli atrocities against Palestinians.
KFC, owned by Yum! Brands, which also includes Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and The Habit Burger Grill, has been criticized for providing free food to Israeli soldiers involved in Palestinian oppression. Given the political tensions and Pakistan’s stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict, PSL’s decision drew widespread criticism on Twitter, igniting a social media uproar.

While some fans advocated for a balanced approach, acknowledging KFC’s contribution to Pakistan’s economy, others labeled the trend as hypocritical.
