Major Saad, a member of the Pakistan Army, succumbed to his injuries after being shot by robbers during an attempt to snatch his mobile phone in Karachi. He passed away following surgery at CMH Malir on Monday.
While returning home from an Iftar party, Major Saad, formerly of 132 L/C and 26 AK, faced gunfire from street criminals for resisting a robbery, resulting in multiple gunshot wounds.

His demise comes amidst reports that during Ramadan, Karachi has seen at least 16 fatalities due to mugging incidents.
A recent report shows Karachi experienced 6,780 street crime incidents within a month. The city witnessed the snatching of 20 vehicles and the theft of over 130 vehicles. Additionally, 830 motorcycles were snatched, 4,200 were stolen, and 1,600 mobile phones were snatched during the holy month.
