Another Multan Sultans’ Fast Bowler Sidelined from PSL 9

With just five days until the start of the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the Multan Sultans franchise has suffered another setback as their star fast bowler, Ihsanullah has been ruled out of the upcoming season.

Ali Tareen, the owner of the Sultans, confirmed that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had informed the franchise about Ihsanullah’s unavailability for the entire PSL due to injury.

Earlier today, English pacer Reece Topley dealt the initial blow to the Sultans when he was ruled out of PSL 9 after being denied a No Objection Certificate (NOC) by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

It’s worth noting that Ihsanullah emerged as the second-highest wicket-taker in PSL 8, claiming an impressive tally of 22 wickets in 12 innings.

Following the conclusion of the tournament, the 21-year-old experienced discomfort in his elbow, leading to the need for surgical intervention under the supervision of the PCB.

PSL 9 matches will be hosted across four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, with the final match scheduled at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18th.

The Sultans will commence their campaign at home against the Karachi Kings on February 18th, playing five matches at their home ground.
