Abdul Aleem Khan, the President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), rallied supporters in two Lahore constituencies, PP-149 and NA-117, sharing his vision for development and public service.
Addressing enthusiastic crowds at Griffin Ground in Lahore, Khan reminisced about his past accomplishments and pledged to persist in his efforts for the welfare of the people. Reflecting on his commitments from 2002 and 2003, he expressed pride in fulfilling promises, asserting, “I can confidently say that all development projects in this constituency have been completed.”
Attributing the success to the prayers of the people, Khan recounted various development initiatives such as hospitals, roads, and dispensaries. He assured the audience of the continuation of these services, even through his sons if necessary. Reaffirming his commitment, Aleem Khan declared, “As long as there is Aleem Khan, I will continue serving all of you.” He shared his vision for the constituency, aiming to make it the most modern area, with a focus on addressing the shortage of clean drinking water through the establishment of filtration plants.
In a noteworthy commitment, Abdul Aleem Khan outlined key initiatives aimed at benefiting the constituents. These promises included providing free electricity up to three hundred units for workers, ensuring a minimum salary of 50,000 units for laborers, offering half-priced petrol for motorcyclists, and providing free tubewell electricity for up to 12 acres for farmers.
Expressing gratitude for the trust of the people, he stated, “I have a service-oriented relationship with the people.” Khan also outlined plans to open dispensaries in all Union Councils, underscoring his commitment to personally reach every household. Emphasizing his personal connection to the community, he said, “This is not just my constituency, but my family,” and claimed to have served “in people’s homes,” addressing every pain, even reaching out to those who cannot earn through his foundation.
In another gathering at Farrukhabad, Aleem Khan continued his impassioned address, expressing disappointment with the lack of basic facilities in Shahdara. He pledged to address sewage problems and issues related to gas and electricity shortages. Defending his integrity, he asserted, “There is no stain of corruption on someone who has spent 22 years in the Houses.” Khan, alongside Samiullah Khan, aimed to win with the “eagle and lion” symbols, urging constituents to turn out in large numbers on election day with the promise of continued service for the next five years.
Khan urged voters to bring out young women and the elderly, recognizing their importance. He promised special programs for mothers and sisters, acknowledging their concerns.
The IPP president concluded his speeches with a call for unity, hard work, and the slogan, “Kashmir will become Pakistan.” His addresses conveyed a blend of nostalgia, promises, and a vision for a prosperous and developed constituency.
