Despite the defeat, the focus is now squarely on Lillard’s condition. During the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Lillard reaggravated his Achilles tendon, an injury that has troubled him before. He was visibly in pain and had to be assisted off the court, causing alarm among fans and teammates.

Lillard, however, showed remarkable resilience, returning to the game and contributing significantly with 28 points and eight assists over 45 minutes. “I felt it near the end of regulation,” Lillard shared after the game, acknowledging his decision to push through the discomfort for his team.
Concerns remain as Bucks’ coach Doc Rivers revealed the extent of Lillard’s struggle. “Dame was really struggling,” Rivers noted. “By overtime, he was saying, ‘I’ll just be a decoy. I can’t explode off it.’ His presence alone was a big lift for us.”
