Due to the absence of a Shawwal moon sighting in Saudi Arabia on Monday, the country is set to observe Eid al-Fitr 2024 on Wednesday, April 10.
The Saudi Supreme Court had previously called upon Muslims within the kingdom to look for the Shawwal crescent on Monday, signaling the conclusion of Ramadan and the start of Shawwal.

Following the non-sighting, the court encouraged anyone who might witness the Shawwal crescent with either the naked eye or through telescopes to make their observation known at the closest court and to provide a formal statement. Assistance to reach the court could also be sought at the nearest center.
Ramadan commenced in Saudi Arabia, along with most other Arab nations, on March 11.
