Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie Appointed as Coaches for the Pakistan Cricket Team

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to appoint former South African player Gary Kirsten and Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie as coaches for the Pakistan national cricket team, in preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

After a comprehensive review, the PCB brought the ex-Proteas and Aussie cricketers to helm the men’s national team. According to reports, Kirsten will be the white-ball coach, while Gillespie will focus on red-ball cricket.

An official announcement will follow after further discussions and completion of necessary formalities.

In the meantime, the Pakistan cricket team is preparing for a T20I series against New Zealand, which is set to begin on April 18. The team will participate in the T20 World Cup in June following this series.

Additionally, the PCB is in the process of selecting an assistant coach for the national team and has posted an advertisement on its website calling for applications. Candidates are required to have completed a Level 2 coaching course and possess at least three years of coaching experience. Interested former cricketers have until April 20 to apply.
