Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Afridi recently posted a veiled message on social media amidst speculation that Babar Azam has been reinstated as the T20 captain, succeeding him. In an Instagram story, Afridi expressed, “Never put me in a situation where I need to reveal my harsh and merciless side.”

He added, “Testing my patience is not advisable as I might be the most compassionate and gentle individual you’ve encountered. However, pushing me to my brink would unveil actions from me that were previously deemed impossible.”
This development follows reports indicating the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) decision to reappoint Babar Azam as the national team’s captain. Babar is set to take over from Shaheen Afridi, who assumed the role of T20 captain after Babar resigned due to the team’s lacklustre performance in the ODI World Cup.
