Pakistan’s renowned cricketer and former captain, Babar Azam, is currently in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah. Babar embarked on this spiritual journey following the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League season 9 held in Pakistan. Sharing glimpses of his visit to the holy city of Madina, Babar took to Instagram to document his experience. In one of the videos he shared, Babar performs ablution in front of the Green Dome at the Prophet’s Mosque.
Captioning one of his posts, Babar expressed his reverence, stating, “At the doorsteps of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) – The Orphan who adopted the world.”
In another post, he reflected on his spiritual journey: “Feeling blessed and spiritually uplifted after performing Umrah. A moment of reflection and peace. Grateful for this journey and praying for the well-being and peace of humanity.”

With Muslims worldwide observing the holy month of Ramadan, many are flocking to Makkah and Madina to perform Umrah and partake in the blessings of this sacred time.
Several fellow cricketers, including Naseem Shah and Imamul Haq, are joining Babar on this pilgrimage. Babar shared the Imam’s picture standing in front of the Holy Kaaba, dressed in the traditional eharaam — attire worn for the pilgrimage.
In his Instagram stories, Babar, along with his brother and Imam, was seen dressed in ehraams as they prepared to perform Umrah.
