Pakistani women have been showcasing remarkable achievements across various domains worldwide, with Alizey Khan, a 26-year-old visionary, etching her name in history as the first Pakistani woman to be honored with the prestigious Diana Legacy Award.
Khan, the brain behind the Ruhil Foundation, was bestowed with this esteemed accolade at a ceremony held in the British capital earlier this week.
Presented by William, Prince of Wales, the Diana Legacy Award stands as the highest recognition for young individuals, acknowledging their endeavors in social action and humanitarianism.
Amongst 20 young leaders worldwide, Khan stood out for her impactful philanthropic work, earning the honor named after Princess Diana, who believed fervently in the power of youth to enact positive change in society. This award garners support from members of the British royal family.

The recipients were carefully selected by a distinguished panel chaired by Baroness Doreen Lawrence, tasked with choosing from a pool of individuals already recognized for their societal contributions with The Diana Award in 2022 or 2023.
Alizey Khan’s initiatives through the Ruhil Foundation have been groundbreaking, addressing issues like food insecurity by distributing ration bags and meals to those in need. Additionally, she has spearheaded hygiene drives in underdeveloped areas, facilitated education for children of sex workers, and raised funds for orphanages in Lahore, the capital of Punjab.
Amidst the challenges posed by the Covid pandemic, Khan’s efforts were particularly notable as she distributed ration bags to flood-affected individuals across Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan, further cementing her commitment to humanitarian causes.
