The primary agenda of the meeting centered around organizing an ODI tri-series featuring Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa. Naqvi expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The tri-series involving Pakistan, South Africa, and New Zealand promises to be thrilling, marking a significant return to Pakistan hosting such prestigious tournaments. I extend my gratitude to the leadership of NZC and CSA for their commitment to participating in the tri-series.”

Additionally, the Chairman of the PCB extended invitations to Roger Twose and Lawson Naidoo to visit Pakistan.

The last time Pakistan hosted a tri-series was in October 2004, featuring Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe as the other participating teams.
