Residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) will once again benefit from free medical treatment at hospitals across the province with the revival of the Sehat Card.
The newly-elected Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, announced the reinstatement of the health card for the entire population of the province during a meeting with State Life Insurance officials on Thursday.
Gandapur confirmed that access to the Sehat Card will resume from the 1st of Ramadan, with Rs. 5 billion promptly released to the insurance company following the Chief Minister’s directives.
Highlighting the provincial government’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of its people, Gandapur underscored the significance of the Sehat Card as a central public welfare initiative, affirming its continuation.
Furthermore, he assured that funds for settling State Life arrears would be allocated promptly, emphasizing his dedication to implementing necessary reforms to enhance transparency in the scheme and maximize public benefits.
