Motorola is poised to become the next smartphone manufacturer to integrate AI features into its devices, potentially marking 2024 as the year of widespread AI adoption in mobile technology. The company has teased its upcoming flagship phone, the X50 Ultra, featuring a Formula 1 theme alongside advanced AI capabilities.
A teaser video offers a glimpse of the phone, revealing a distinctive leatherette back and a discreetly positioned camera in the top left corner. The accompanying Weibo post hints at the upcoming F1 China Grand Prix, with Motorola’s parent company, Lenovo as an official F1 sponsor. With the race scheduled for April 21, Motorola will likely unveil the Moto X50 Ultra around that time.
Reports suggest the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will boast a 4,500 mAh battery with super-fast 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Interestingly, these specifications closely resemble those of the Edge 40 Pro, which features a slightly larger 4,600 mAh battery with the same 125W wired charging but slower 15W wireless charging.
While it’s speculated that the Edge 50 Pro will be based on the Moto X50 rather than the X50 Ultra, adherence to Motorola’s naming conventions remains uncertain. Nonetheless, the imminent launch of the Moto X50 Ultra is expected to be a significant event in the smartphone industry.
As of now, a global launch date for the Moto X50 Ultra remains undisclosed.
