Musk: Tesla Roadster Arriving Next Year, Sub-1s 0-60 mph Time

Remember the Tesla Roadster? It’s the sports car Elon Musk has teased for years, promising record-breaking acceleration and space-age technology. Updates have been scarce, leaving enthusiasts uncertain about its fate.

Tonight, we radically increased the design goals for the new Tesla Roadster.

There will never be another car like this, if you could even call it a car.

Now, Musk claims the Roadster will go from 0 to 60 mph in under one second and hints at rocket thrusters in collaboration with SpaceX. These claims raise eyebrows among Tesla fans and critics after years of delays and revised specs.

Despite delays, Tesla aims to finalize a production design this year, targeting shipments by 2025. The car is said to be a four-seater with a removable glass roof, departing from traditional roadster designs.

If Musk’s claims are true, the Roadster will surpass hypercars in performance, with a reported top speed exceeding 250 mph and a range of nearly 620 miles from a massive battery pack. Prices start at €190,000, rising to €233,000 for a Founders Edition.

While Musk is known for showmanship, skepticism remains about the Roadster’s delivery, given the delays seen with projects like the Cybertruck. Excitement and doubt surround the Roadster’s potential as a groundbreaking EV, but meeting deadlines and performance promises remains uncertain.
