Tecno Camon 30 Premier, a high-end smartphone with an affordable price tag, is scheduled to launch in Q2 this year. Despite this, the Chinese company has already announced the phone to the public, highlighting Tecno’s PolarAce Imaging System and other notable features.
Design and Display
Featuring a 6.77″ OLED display on the front, with a resolution of 1,264 x 2,780 pixels and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits, the phone introduces Tecno’s debut of LTPO panel technology in a non-foldable device, following its previous appearance in the Phantom V Flip and V Fold models. Crafted with a metal mid-frame, the phone offers structural integrity and a luxurious tactile experience. A unique design element known as the “Action Dot” adorns the device’s rear, serving as a breathing light during video recording, a charging indicator, and a signal for activating the voice assistant. Additionally, it functions as an “infrared sensor indicator.” The phone’s camera island is designed to resemble a zoom ring found on rangefinder cameras and is accompanied by a quad-LED flash.

Tecno claims that the RAM can be virtually expanded. The Tecno Camon 30 Premier will run on Android 14 out of the box with the company’s proprietary UI layered on top.
Cameras
Tecno’s new PolarAce Imaging System is centred around a Sony ISP named CXD5622GG, delivering 4.6 TFLOPS at FP16, enabling features like AI noise reduction for videos and 4K Ultra Night Vision Videos, as well as AI photo editing capabilities such as object removal. The upcoming Tecno Camon Premier 5G will feature a Sony image sensor, specifically the 50MP Sony IMX890 with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Additionally, there will be a 70mm periscope camera with a 50MP sensor capable of up to 60x hybrid zoom, handling portrait and macro shots. The ultrawide shooter will also be a 50MP snapper. The selfie camera is also impressive, boasting a resolution of 50MP.
