Following LG’s unveiling of a see-through TV earlier this year at CES 2024, Lenovo plans to introduce the world’s first transparent laptop at the upcoming MWC 2024 event. This news has been confirmed through official teasers and leaked renders.
Renowned industry tipster Evan Blass has shared images showing what the transparent Lenovo laptop will look like. The laptop’s cover and deck feature see-through elements, which are constructed with transparent OLED technology and spearheaded by LG and Samsung. While the primary internals remain obscured beneath an opaque base, a slim bezel encircles the device, likely housing ports and antennas. A touch-sensitive keyboard seamlessly integrated into the transparent panel further enhances the futuristic design.

Although the design of this device is intriguing, it is expected to primarily serve as a concept device to showcase new technology rather than offer practical functionality. Even if it becomes commercially available, Lenovo will likely produce only a limited number of units.
In addition to the transparent laptop, Lenovo plans to unveil its ThinkBook 14 G14 laptop, featuring a 360-degree hinge for proper 2-in-1 functionality. Furthermore, the lineup includes the ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 with Intel and AMD chips, a T14S with a notch, a larger T16 Gen 3 laptop, and a second-generation ThinkPad X12 Detachable.
The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is scheduled to commence in Barcelona on February 26, where all of these devices will be showcased before their subsequent release.
